About PIVOT
The story of how a 15-year-old's vision became a mission to provide affordable dog prosthetics for every animal in need.
Our Founding Story
PIVOT was founded by Michalis Fotiadis, a 15-year-old with an extraordinary vision: ensuring that every dog, regardless of their circumstances, has access to life-changing prosthetic technology.
The inspiration came from meeting Komis, a resilient dog who had lost his leg in a hunting accident and was later rescued during the devastating floods in Volos. Witnessing Komis's struggle and the heartbreaking inaccessibility of prosthetic solutions for most pet owners sparked a determination to change everything.
What started as a student project quickly evolved into a mission-driven organization. Recognizing that traditional dog prosthetic options were prohibitively expensive, our founder set out to build a non-profit that prioritizes impact over profit.
Today, PIVOT stands as Europe's only full-body prosthetics manufacturer dedicated to making these life-changing devices accessible to every dog that needs them.

Our Vision & Mission
Driven by the belief that every dog deserves mobility, comfort, and the chance to live life to the fullest.
A world where every dog, regardless of their owner's financial circumstances or geographic location, has access to high-quality prosthetic and orthotic solutions. We envision breaking down the barriers that prevent dogs from receiving the care they deserve.
To provide accessible, custom-fit prosthetics and orthotics through innovative 3D printing technology, comprehensive support, and a sustainable sponsorship program that ensures no dog is left behind due to financial constraints.
Our Technology
Advanced 3D scanning and printing technology that delivers medical-grade animal prosthetics with precision and reliability.
Precision 3D Scanning & Printing
Advanced 3D Scanning
We use professional-grade 3D scanning technology to capture precise measurements and contours of your pet's affected limb, ensuring a perfect custom fit.
TPU Material Excellence
Our prosthetics are printed using medical-grade TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), providing the perfect balance of flexibility, durability, and comfort for active dogs.
Enclosed Printer Technology
We utilize enclosed 3D printers that maintain consistent temperature and humidity, ensuring superior print quality and material properties for long-lasting prosthetics.

Why Dogs Need Prosthetics
Understanding the medical and quality-of-life benefits that prosthetics provide for our four-legged friends.

Restoring Natural Movement
Prosthetics help dogs regain their natural gait and movement patterns, preventing compensatory injuries and maintaining healthy muscle development.
Improving Quality of Life
Dogs with prosthetics can return to activities they love – running, playing, and exploring – significantly improving their mental and physical well-being.
Preventing Secondary Issues
Proper prosthetics prevent overcompensation injuries, joint problems, and muscle atrophy that can occur when dogs adapt to limb loss.
Our Values
The principles that guide everything we do at PIVOT.
Compassion First
Every decision we make is guided by compassion for the dogs we serve and the families who love them.
Innovation
We continuously push the boundaries of what's possible in prosthetic technology and accessibility.
Accessibility
We believe that financial circumstances should never prevent a dog from receiving the care they need.
